#1: 206 Issues, Need Help!! Author: Scotty2491, Posted: Fri Oct 10, 2014 6:16 pm ---- Hey, i bought a wee 99 1.4 petrol 206 as a run around. I got up this morning and the car would not start she is turning over but no start. Can smell fuel from exhaust so assume fuel is not the issue. I assumed it was an ignition or electrical problem. All fuses uner dash and in engine bay are fine, i replaced the spark plugs. I assumed if it was coil pack it would have been driving rough but tryed it with a coil pack from another 206 i had sitting that ino works. I had a crankshaft sensor that i had been meaning to fit when i noticed wear when i replaced the clutch so have replaced that. She still wont start. The ignition turns on and everything electrical is working. I stuck it on diagnostics and has 2 codes that only show low voltage on upper and lower 02 sensors which i cant see affecting her from starting. The only other wierd thing is when u put the ignition on the temperature needle jumps straight to the red line. i am completly stumped! Any ideas?

#3: Re: 206 Issues, Need Help!! Author: Scotty2491, Posted: Fri Oct 10, 2014 8:29 pm ---- Would that not show up on diagnostics? If not how would i know for sure? I assumed if the fuel pump was priming the immobilser would be ok, just a guess tho.

What diag system are you using? Pre 2000 car likely to need PP2000 to get proper codes and into special bsi related stuff.

Not sure what set up they r on. The temp sensor i had thought at first, just odd that it only hits the red line now when shes dead but didn the night before. Any other ways i could double check the immobilzer?
