My current car is 1369
1.4 1480
1.6 2000

if i go for the 1.4 or 1.6 they only want £65 off me to change it over and that's it

When I bough my 1.4 I was a little concerned with it being only a 1.4 but it's surprisingly nippy around town and does pull really well when motorway driving. I make a 75mile to and from work trip over the course of a week which costs me no more than £10-£15 and that's stop start s***ty central London traffic.
Ultimately it depends what you want it for and if you can afford it financially, no point crippling your pocket for an extra .2ltrs if you ask me; Alternatively see if you can test drive both and see what you prefer

I went from a 2 litre 405 with 125 bhp to a 1.4 75 bhp 206.

Around town where I do most of my driving I couldn't really tell the difference between them ( apart from the much better average mpg from the 206 )

It was only top end speed or long hill climbs I sometimes would notice the lack of power from the TU3.

the 1.4 is probably what i will get quicksilver or not I'm not too fussed. But i do 150 miles a week to college and I'm sure that's what broke my saxo because the roads are horrible. It's 50 miles round trip a day so there is 25 miles 17 of which is back roads rest is motorway/Dual carriageway

To be fair i don't really need a quick car it's just overtaking but i can make it work. The only time i'm ever driving "Quick" is on the weekend night if anything. There's a lot of good roads about here with no speed cameras on them. When u have a 4 mile straight with no speed cameras its hard not too put the foot down. My saxo does 105 which I'm more than happy with just acceleration that isn't very good on the saxo. I suppose its the same with any 1.1 but this is on another level haha
