#1: Heater matrix Author: Stuck99, Posted: Wed Oct 22, 2014 7:07 am ---- Hi, i have a problem and that is i have a 206 98 model and the heater matrix has sprung a leak. I have tried second hand and new parts dealers but they all supply the wrong size. I have been told that my model of heater matrix was only produced for 1 year only. The part is stamped with SF-16. Does anybody have this part or know were i can get one. Or tell me what glue etc i can use to fix the leak in the plastic.

In general for plastics try finding out exactly what type of plastic it is and then the corresponding solvent. Or for thermoplastics, one cant try 'welding' a crack together with a soldering iron (and a tip you're not to bothered about)
By melting the material in and around the crack to get the two sides to adhere to each other again.
Without any specifics known, my first generic try would be a 2-component epoxy. Many manufacturers do them - Araldit, LocTite, Plastic Padding, etc.
Check the temperature whatever you can get your hands on can take - it varies.
#3: Re: Heater matrix Author: Seatock789, Location: MorecambePosted: Wed Oct 22, 2014 9:16 am ---- Don't know if this will help but I recently had to fix a leaking radiator, I tried silicone sealent with little success, I then came across 'Wickes jointing compound & external leak sealer' (available on ebay). It's very sticky and so far has done the job, Think it cost about £5. Says it suitable for metal, plastics etc.
Might be worth a try.
