Any info on issues to look out for when buying a 180 ?

Any common faults problems ?

clutch judder is quite common on them, will need new clutch and possably a flywheel.
standerd exhusts seem to rot out quite quick.
other than that they are same as any S/H car check all paperwork is correct and if your not sure take somebody who does know with you.

Few issues .
Back axle bent rear boot skin has been replaced .
Front suspension bearings lower arms where shot !
Wings all out of line . Passenger window no goo .
Air inler pipe split .
cat starting to rott at joint .
exhaust is one complete pipe.(lol wtf)
Horn is a little black button near ignition .
rear bearings gone .
Cambelt pully squeeling .

so yea headache .. ebay buy didnt look picked it up at night .cars black . All seemed ok .
All new parts being fitted ..

Cleaned zinc painted and undersealed the boot inside & out .
fresh respray inside .


spot welded rear quarts up & sealed ..
De-cat fitted . New axle n shizzle to go ..

The moral of the story is boi & girls

Always check a car before you buy it trust no1 !!!

Good work! Axle in the kitchen, my misses would be going mental! I had the indicator switch out on the lounge coffee table for 5 minutes and got a right bollocking!

oh ekk i sold my 04, 58k full service history, janspeed, mapped, in very nice condition for 1k !!!!
think i would have been beating the mans door down for my cash back.
