#1: One headlight off and the other stuck on full beam. Author: Mikelib, Posted: Sat Nov 08, 2014 7:18 am ---- Hi guys. I have a 206 that is currently having some electrical problems. One of the headlights (passenger side) stays off and the other is stuck on full beam. When full beam is turned on the passenger side lights as normal. We have changed bulbs and checked the fuse. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be?

After looking again the light that remains on is not stuck on full but behaves as it should. The other light on passenger side is completely off. The car is a 2004 Peugot 206 'style'. Apologies for my ignorance but I am not exactly sure what single optic, double optic means. They are not after market lights but are the standard ones that have come with this model.

I suspect being a 2004 its the clear with 2 bulbs ones

After having a good look earlier it seems when I turn on the dipped beam the passenger side is off and driver side is on. When I put on full beam the passenger side full beam bulb goes on and the driver side just stays as it was ie. the full beam bulb fails to illuminate but dipped beam build stays lit. It seems quite odd to me.

To be clear - on two-bulb headlights, the dipped beam should stay on when you turn on the high beams. So, your pass. side dipped and driver side high are not working.
I'd start with a voltmeter/test light on the plugs that connects to the headlight unit. 3 pins:
Ground - since at least one of the bulbs on each side works, ground connections should be OK, car side.
+12 dipped and +12V high - Check that you have power on one of the pins when you have dipped beams on , and that you have power on both with high beams on. Don't recall which pin is which though...
If the power is there, look at the wiring in the light clusters.
If not, look at 'upstream' wiring, fuses, relays, switches etc.
