Hi guys,

I'm going to change the clutch on my girlfriends 206 2.0 HDI this weekend.

I've done one on a 306 HDI before and I was wondering is there much difference in the job I need to look out for and does anyone know of a guide, I've had a search but can't find anything?

Only difference really between the 306 & 206 is the 306 runs a cable clutch and the 206 runs a hydrolic setup so no cable but a slave cylinder to play with instead.

Thanks for your reply.

Isn't the slave cylinder bolted to the engine block?

Does the cylinder get in the way at all?

No it's bolted to the box, only 2 little allan bolts, just unbolt it and put it to one side, just be careful not to bend the pipe too much.

Awesome stuff, hopefully it'll be nice and straight forward. Just need to remember to put the plate in the right way.

Quick question about the slave cylinder, if I let it extend out will the piston pop out or is it held in by a circlip to stop it from popping out?

When unbolt from front of gearbox just keep hands on it while extends.
But it does stop n not pop out!

Not necessary but I removed the radiator when I done mine. Just to lessen the risk of catching it as it is fairly tight when lifting the box out.

slave cylinder is fine fully extended.
