#1: Engine Conversion? Author: yologelo PostPosted: Mon Jan 12, 2015 12:33 pm

Just out of curiosity has anyone done an engine conversion on their 206 before?

I've got a 1.4 206 5dr at the moment and would possibly want an engine conversion done if its possible(by a garage).

I know it would cost a lot and people would say 'just buy a gti 180 or a faster car' but then again it would be cool to have a 'sleeper'/ gti180 engine on a 5dr.

Thanks in advance Very Happy

Its been done before, Pug1Off and guy called Gary Stone offer there services in the way of engine conversions, 2.0ltr 180 lump ofcourse or the V6 lump out of the 406 Coupe is also an option.

Both have advantages and disadvantages, no real better choice all depends on what you want it for.

Might want to consider turboing or supercharging the 1.4 engine, both been done and current member Addaz has turbo'd his 1.4 lump.

Honestly like you said it's cheaper to buy the 180 though, but like you I agree, they're isn't any fun in that.

No problem, not sure if Gary Stone's details are still correct as of the google search results but I'm pretty sure he's still active over on the C2 forum.
