Pull off the boot trim and lock it manually by sliding the white lever across on the solenoid

You will have to lean in to unlock it though

I have noticed a difference during the 2003 model year.

Both my 206's are hatchback & have remote deadlocking factory fitted.

My February 2003 built 206 has this tailgate locking solenoid motor where you can slide the white rod across to lock it.

My October 2003 built 206 doesn't, you have to unclip the metal rod between the tailgate handle & the tailgate latch to stop it opening.

What's the worse possible scenario with this? Is it electric bits, or a expensive job? Gonna call pugbitz tomorrow. Any advice?
