#1: What region are you from? Author: JordHaze, Location: WarwickshirePosted: Wed Mar 11, 2015 9:03 am ---- Hey guys,
Answer the poll above, just looking for a rough idea of where everyone comes from and how many people in each area.
Cheers,
Jord

Don't get your hopes up for meets.
You will get loads of people saying YES they will turn up & then just not bother, happened before on here & will happen again.

I'm working with macca to try and start up the meets again.

Eh?
I'm only doing admin bits in the background. I'm past organising meets, and got to agree with MrBSI, loads of Yes people but something always comes up on the day. Be nice to be proved wrong over the next 12 months though and see some good turnouts.

I mean you're looking into re-doing area reps and stuff, try and get the site more active. I'm trying to get the forum known and showing more people that a 206 isn't just for old people (it mainly is around my town)
#8: Re: What region are you from? Author: Vexs, Location: LondonPosted: Thu Mar 12, 2015 2:19 am ---- The only meets that tend to work are the official show meets im afraid, and even then half the interested members never bother to come; which is understandable, we all have lives and obligations we must attend to first away from the forum.
The McDonalds/car park round up gangs dont really exist on here as many share the same opinion on them.
The only real chance you have of a decent meet is an activity day as such; camping, paintballing, go-karting, summer BBQ, something that appeals to a wider audience and not just a certain generation.
Ideally for these things to work you need a down deposit scheme, it'll encourage people to commit early and see it through, it'll also give you a better idea of the sort of numbers who will attend and if the event you plan is worth continuing withing the first 3 months or so of setting it up.
If you can make it work, then fair playand good luck, just don't hold your breath.

#10: Re: What region are you from? Author: Carlos_WR1, Posted: Thu Mar 12, 2015 6:06 am ---- Track day or group discount on a Dyno Run if you can find a garage thatll do a deal for multiple cars.
#11: Re: What region are you from? Author: JordHaze, Location: WarwickshirePosted: Sun Mar 15, 2015 11:19 am ---- I'm sure there's more active members on this forum than have answered.

I'd definitely be up for something like a dyno run (even if I only have a 1.1 ).
There are more active members for sure, but perhaps meets aren't their sort of thing. I guess everyone has different priorities. I wouldn't say i'm the active member, but it would be nice to meet some of you guys and have a good time.

Dyno day sounds like a good idea, I guess it comes down to who wants to be the person to set it up

Depends how many people answer the poll, if there's enough interest I can try and sort out a day that a lot of people will be able to get to.
