#1: Peugeot Fuel 2.0 HDI Gauge Fault Author: pughdi2003, Posted: Fri Apr 10, 2015 6:38 am ---- Hello All,
I have a 2.0 HDI 2003 D Turbo but the fuel gauge seems to do whatever it feels like. I filled the tank with approx 50 ltrs and it only showed 3/4 full then went out in the morning and showed a full tank only done about 70 miles now showing 1/4 of a tank any ideas could it be the fuel sender unit or any common faults to be aware of ?
When I purchased the car the fuel light was on I had only put £10.00 of fuel in before so could it be a sticky float ?
Thank you

Think it's the float valve in the tank, it sticks sometimes.
If you go over a bump it may come free and give a correct reading. Mine has done it so many times, I write down how much fuel I buy and then work out the minimal fuel I'll get based on 50mpg lol
