Hi There and hello to everyone, I am a new user.

I have been searching lots of forums but im stuck, firstly I own a 1999 1.6i 8v 206, which I have not had for long. I knew there was issues when I bought the car, but my heart ruled my head.

Here are my issue firstly speedo and odemeter do not work, seems like they have not worked for a long time. but I have tried new dials changed sensor in gearbox checked wiring behind passenger wheel and all seems fine, but still not working.... checked fuse under bonnet seems to be fine. what else could I be looking at apart from possible drive in gearbox

Also my fob button does not work the central locking key fob flashes but nothing happens.

question is could all this be related, possible bsi problem tried reseting bsi unit but maybe I am doing something wrong

Any advise would be greatly appreciated, this is my first pug, be gentle please haha

The alarm system ONLY arms if the remote fob is used to lock the car.

Have you tried to resync the remote fob with the car?
