I have been trying to fix the Wife's t plate 206 for a week now, It started when she had a grinding noise coming from the front end when she released the clutch, i was told the drive shaft cv joint had gone behind the wheel, I changed them but it still wont go forwards or backwards, Even when i have the car in reverse it will roll forward.
When you think you have engaged a gear the car wont move when you release the clutch, but the speedo will move at one point the car was doing 70MPH while standing still. I haven't checked the gear linkages yet going to do that today. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be, i am desperate to get this car going as the Wife is using mine . To get a reading on the speedo & no actual movement is the clue.

I have replaced the gearbox, both front wishbones, and clutch and this car now drives quite good for a 206, just 1 problem though if someone can help?. The rev counter no longer works but it did before the gearbox change, can anyone help?.
