#1: 206 2.0 HDI Battery Charge/Change help!! Author: TrinityGhostZ, Posted: Sun May 03, 2015 6:50 pm ---- I purchased a Peugeot 206 2.0HDI 2001 The other day. The previous owner hadn't driven the car for a few months and the battery light was on. Due to no current insurance I couldn't take the car on the road to charge the battery up.
Not realising how low the battery was I was testing the internal electronics (new car excitement) and the battery I assume ran flat.
I have seen alot of comments regarding being careful messing with 206's batterys because of the BSI.
I believe my car is a non-Plexed model. It was made in Sep 01 before the multiplex models were made. Also the I have the thin Radio Stalk.
anyway... does the BSI rules still apply or am I okay to remove the battery without any issues? or what would be the best route for me to take?
Suggestions and advice highly apprecated.

Also had a near-dead end of life battery running for couple of months in the past, jumpstarting it nearly every morning from another car's engine, no problems there either

when you take the battery out,you can take it to garage so they can charge it for you for like 8-12 hours,and it will be back in good shape,IF it worth to be saved,as old of the battery and condition really matter.

I do have a battery charger so I can give that a whirl first and see how it goes. If not I may have to take it to a garage or pick up a new one. Either way as long as I get my electrics back I'll be happy. I need to get my radio installed!
