Hi All,

I am trying to replace my dual mass flywheel with solid mass conversion, have taken off gearbox and old flywheel (God knows how will be putting everything back together). Was wondering if anybody know if new flywheel should go in any special way (as I do not see any sensor and the cranck shaft sensor is on the other side of engine). Also I will much appreciate if anyone would tell me the torque for the bolts at both flywheel and gearbox as I can't find anywhere for this specific model. The car is a 206 1.6hdi diesel sport from 2005.Many thanks for your help.Bob

Haynes manual may be money well spent. Not perfect but will have all torque setting and sequence etc.

Haynes manual doesn't cover the DV6.

It's also risky doing it on the 1.6D - the torques produced from the cylinders firing will bugger the gearbox - hence the DMF there to dampen out these forces.

For the bolt torques, try asking someone with access to PP - they can look up the servicing manuals and process guides I believe?

Eco mode will be just from opening doors etc when putting everything back together - the courtesy lights do seem to bring eco mode about awful quick. Either that, or your battery/alternator is sh****d!

Well battery is new,1 month old, alternator no problem at all before changing flywheel. But who knows,I will charge battery today and see if it starts..I heard Ecu have his one battery and that charge from main battery, maybe that is the problem. Also someone told me ECU may need resetting..have checked every single sensor and all fine..to much head ache now

Have you reconnected the earth strap to the gearbox?
