possible heater matrix leak??

hi guys
could i have you opinions on on were this leak is coming from.
i can never see or feel any water(if it is water) on the pipes or plastic.it appears on the rubber matt a short time after iv washed the matt.
my initial thought was the heater matrix.... but im wondering if it could be just the o,rings.

From the looks of it I would wager that someone has fiddled with that before and didn't bother using new gaskets/seals when putting it back. My GTi is 15 years old and when I tool the heater matrix pipes out they were clean as a whistle.

yes i have a feeling you may be right.
iv just noticed that it looks like there's possibly two screws missing

i would be tempted to renew the o'rings.does anybody know were i could get any??
