#1: Peugeot dash EEPROM; help needed... Author: Colin31958, Posted: Mon Sep 21, 2015 12:29 pm ---- I have a Peugeot 206 CC (2002) which I replaced the ECU and BSI on. This unfortunately increased the mileage from 109,000 to over 150,000, so I would like to correct this. I am a motor technician, but new to this type of thing as I trained many years ago and have been doing other things for the last 20 years, so have lost touch a little. Anyway, I have a Tacho Pro 2008 Odometer tool and I removed the BSI EEPROM with the hope of modifying the mileage, the clip to connect the EEPROM to the tool didn't line up properly, so I was unable to correct the mileage, on top of that the spring in the clip was far too strong and with my attempts to make it connect eventually several of the pins broke off the chip, so it became useless. I then thought, I still have the old BSI unit and assumed that the chip on there could be removed and transferred to the new BSI and thereby transfer the old mileage back to the BSI, this I did. I then turned my attention to the chip in the dash unit. I removed that and tried to change the mileage, but again had problems connecting the tool to it and, as with the BSI chip, eventually the pins broke off. So, I have now obtained a couple of new chips of the same type with the hope of fitting one of these to the dash unit (and also bought a new programming cable/clip which looks much better). What I don't know and hope someone can help me with, is whether I will need to program the new chip before fitting it, or whether the BSI will update the dash chip without any programming. If it needs to be programmed can anyone help me with the process using the Tacho Pro and also where to obtain the code required to program the chip with. I hope someone who knows will guide me with the best solution to my problem. Thanks.

Why did you need to replace BSI & ECU?
