It is plug & play BUT the ESP steering angle sensor is part of the com 2000 unit.

You should have this reset after replacing the unit.

Ideally the wheel alignment should be done & at same time reset the steering angle sensor.

Peugeot Planet required.

Incorrect steering angle sensor setting can scrub the tyres out.

No idea on if the Snap On can carry out the task.

Snap On diagnostic kit isnt the best out there, the name sells it Wink

Guys, the steering wheel sensor has nothing to do with tyres consumption. You have just to set it to zero with aligned steering wheel, with car standing still. It just says the ESP how much you are steering, to check if the car is understeering or oversteering in comparison with the yaw (not sure if it's the correct translation) sensor located under the seat (driver one in LHD).

I've replaced a completely shattered Com2000 from my GTi 180 04-plate with one from peugeot 807 HDi 06-plate, by just googling the long number under barcode, and getting a good ebay deal for £80. Buying second hand is always a risk, but description and photos looked decent on that one.

Every Com2000 with ESP steering sensor will fit, but question is what other features you want , like auto lights, wipers, trip computer button etc. New ones cost from £150 to £300, and functions are usually drawn as little icons at the corner of the product photo (e.g. if you go to eurocarparts, put your reg and look steering wheel control/stalks unit)

You are guaranteed to get the same functions, if you source the same barcode (and best matches online, as opposed to the few ones by Peugeot's part number instead) I got lucky and got cruise control stalk in addition (i think I'll need more machinery to enable that one)
