206CC Handbrake Adjustment
-> 206 Problems

#1: 206CC Handbrake Adjustment Author: killjoy PostPosted: Fri Feb 12, 2016 11:24 am

When I put the handbrake on it suddenly went up 4 more clicks than usual (The handbrake still holds).

I want to remove the centre console and see what has happened, has the adjustment slipped or one of the cables snapped. Anyway my question is how does the centre console off.

There's a torx screw under a tab at the back of the console. Remove that and it lifts up.

Sounds like you may have snapped a cable ..

I agree, will look under the car tomorrow and see if one has gone slack.

The outer cover rusts into the caliper mount so not always obvious.
