I'm hoping somebody can shed some light on my problem as I'm currently at a loss.
I have a 206 1.4 2006 reg that was parked for a couple of days and then refused to start. It turned over just fine but didn't start.
Had it towed to a reputable garage that I usually use. After checking it over they were certain it's an electrical fault, more specifically with BSI.
They tried rebooting it & checking the wires out of the BSI ec but didn't find anything. I also checked the keys myself by leaving in the ignition and opening the door to check for a beep.
So they sent the BSI and ECU off to a "specialist" that they use, to take a look. Nothing was found apart from a wiper error in the BSI.
This is where I'm at now, and I'm not sure what to do next, as I've already spent a tonne on labour costs. It sounds very much like trial and error now, going through checking all the different wires etc.
I'm grateful for any advice...

Very common for the wires to break off the terminal on them at this age and cause a lot of issues including not starting but turning over. Very easily overlooked as well.

It turned out to be the crank sensor - £30 to fix. Recommend making sure the garage you are using has PP2000 and that they do check the crank sensor

I've asked them if it could be the crank sensor and they say it would have shown up with their diagnostic software if it was. Is that right?
Not sure if they have Planet Peugeot. Will ask the question. Will also ask about the gearbox earth.

However, the central locking no longer works. They say I need to resync it? Any idea how this is done with my car model?

I seem to have an aftermarket key fob, which I've always used. Not sure if that makes a difference when trying to re-sync?
