#1: Lambda/o2 sensor. Author: millerman, Location: KentPosted: Sat Mar 19, 2016 12:32 am ---- Hi, car is a 1.4i auto, year 2000, I,m having the complete exhaust changed incl the cat, my question is, how many 02 sensors does my car have, 1 or 2? I will be looking to change the sensors as well so need to know, a hip injury forbids me from getting under the car. If it does have 2 sensors will they both be the same or will 1 be a pre cat and the other a post cat?
Thanks in advance.

You are most welcome my friend, well for a detailed version of my answer,I would need your car VIN so that I can check what your car got from factory, but you can see both O2 sensors while you are standing looking at the engine bay,as usually the first (upper) O2 sensor is before CAT,as you can see it on top of the manifold, and the second (Lower) O2 sensor is after the CAT right on the first curve in the pipe,it can be see from above,no need to lay down.
#5: Re: Lambda/o2 sensor. Author: millerman, Location: KentPosted: Tue Mar 22, 2016 1:52 pm ---- Thank you for a detailed answer, my cat is not below the manifold, it is under the car, which proves what I was told in that the 206 petrol cars have 2 different locations for the cat.
