#1: 207 Non Starter, is there a way forward please? Author: CaptainChaos, Location: SwanseaPosted: Sun Jul 24, 2016 7:50 pm ---- The car : 2003, 206 1.4 petrol hatchback.
The situation: Drove approx 30 miles, not a glitch. Tried to restart after 1 hour,
turning over v fast but not firing. After 45 mins of trying with the odd gap she suddenly started and ran as usual (sweet). Stopped in Asda restarted first time drove 17 miles home no problem.
The next day tried to start and no chance, same probably as before.
2 days later and still she wont go.
I have checked spark there is none, plugs are dry, no fuel.
Following info on here i have left battery off over night made no difference though fuel pump did prime first time key was turned (but only once).
ECO MODE (not ECONOMY MODE) is displayed, numerous electrical items are not working. All fuses checked and ok.
Again following info on here i have tried to reset BSI no change!
I have only had the car a few weeks, the battery looks new.
Not sure where to go next any ideas appreciated please?

Check the earths in the engine bay. If you've got no spark you've probably found your problem. Also check your timing belt.

un be known to me my wife had changed key fob battery in doing so it appears that the part of the circuit board that presses against the chip has fallen out and gone missing so the car is imobilised. The chip is still in place.
Any ideas appreciated please??

Author: macca1411, Location: Westhoughton, LancashirePosted: Wed Jul 27, 2016 7:28 am ---- The circuit board doesn't need to be in contact with the chip for either the remote or the immobiliser to work, so not sure what you mean when you say a part has gone missing.
I'd take MrBSIs advice and get it scanned with PP to help point you in the direction of the problem
