This morning i've found the dreaded heater matrix coolant in the passenger footwell, which i've just finished mopping up. I was planning on scrapping the car in the next month or two as I'm in the process of moving house.
Is the car safe to drive for any length of time? atleast until I can get another car in a few months time?

You could keep on topping up the coolant, but this isn't a fool proof way of making sure and the cost of the anti-freeze will probably outweigh the price of a repair

Be warned using any of those is only a TEMPORARY bodge up solution!

Author: Werdnal, Location: Cornwall, UKPosted: Sat Nov 12, 2016 8:11 pm ---- Not sure of the set up on 206, but when I had this on old Fiesta, we bypassed the heater and re-plumbed so the coolant circulated in the engine, but not through the matrix. Worked OK until we could get it sorted properly. Maybe you could bodge a hose between the inlet and outlet of the heater and then safe to drive until you get rid.
