#1: Fuel leak when filled up Author: stretchie_, Posted: Tue Jul 25, 2017 7:04 pm ---- Hi guys
Been registered for a bit but mainly a lurker.
The Mrs has had her 206 1.4hdi for about 3 months now and she just tops it up with £20 when she needs to. She started a new job today so we went to fill it up for her, after I stopped pumping the fuel I could hear fluid runnning, so looked under the car and the diesel was flowing out from under the car like an open tap.
It did stop after a bit so the leak is somewhere at the top. I'm hoping it's just the fuel neck to tank hose has split or the jubilee clip has broken.
I couldn't find anything in the search but is this a common issue?
Any ideas where to look apart from:
-Get the rear wheel off and the mud guard to check the hose
-Have a look u der the boot floor or under rear seats for the fuel pump cover to check that
Cheers

There is a difference from pre-plex and multiplex cars
