#1: problem with morettes Author: alirobbo PostPosted: Wed Jan 31, 2018 8:57 pm

Right guys have morettes fitted to my car now i haven't connected to the battery as were working without connecting but noticed the side light driver side was low/dull, didn't think much of it as was still working but then stopped working few weeks ago again thought will change that when get chance take lights off as hard to change when still connected to the car. but tonight noticed my dipped beam both sides not working pulled over and fiddled with wires got the side light to work again and the passenger dipped to work but then stopped the car as was going the pub for a meal for daughters birthday. When was leaving about 2 hours later again no dipped beam either side but had side lights so had to drive home with side lights and fogs on not ideal i know but had to get home to get kids in bed. Tried to fiddle again with wires but no joy. All other lights still work high beam fogs etc. Don't think will be fuses but will check them in the morning when light do i need to connect to battery?? What can be causing this as bulbs are fine too.

Update:::

Fuses fine, bulbs fine work when connected to the wires that connect to bulb holder but when they are connecting to bulb holder they don't work. Connected multi meter to it and shows power getting to it tho

How long you had fitted? Who fitted? Have you checked how they’re wired to the looms? Are they H4 or H7? Are they earthed correctly? There are diagrams and pics of how to wire all over the place you can check against, I’ve seen two different set ups, but probably a wiring problem. Might worth removing fully, inspecting for corrosion and set up and then refitting.

Thanks for replying but all sorted now had to rewire the loom. I fitted them myself as they are just plug and play been fitted for 2months fine.
