Evening all,

The 1.4 is due it’s MOT in a few weeks and upon going to replace my springs I found the top seat for the spring is near shot (half has started breaking/snapping) Peugeot wants about £30 per side and I can’t justify that, however seeing as I have 2 spare struts for my GTi would they fit into the 1.4 ? As in are they the same diameter at the bottom of the shock ? Pretty sure the top mounts will be or should be the same.

Any help is appreciated want to try and get it done this week Shocked

Thanks Steve, ordered a pair of 1.4 diesel struts as a just in case as I don’t want to be stuck with an immobile car as it’s the only one on the road Embarassed out of 3 even if I do end up just using the top spring seats off them, would the diesel struts have a stiffer rebound rate compared to the petrols because of the extra weight do you think ? Haven’t got any access to info so I’m sort of shooting in the dark
