Rear rises on handbrake??

I've noticed that, when I park on an incline (nose pointing uphill), and apply the handbrake, the rear of the car rises quite dramatically as I ease off the foot brake

Is this a rear axle bush problem?

Or is this car just haunted or something?

Normal ... torsion bar rear suspension.

It's down to it having trailing arms. Even a torsion beam set up would do the same.
