#1: 206 starting Author: Hanna-hdi, Posted: Wed Sep 14, 2022 7:55 am ---- Hi
My 1.6 16v has developed an issue starting over the last few days. On Friday morning it wouldn't start. Turn the key and all lights stayed on but no starter noise. I changed the starter Saturday which starts it's most the time but it sounds like it won't start just before it does. Then last night it was like it had a flat battery on 2 attempts but third attempt fired straight up.
I'll test the battery later as I'm wondering if the battery was starting to die?
What do you think?

They can have just enough power to display all the lights on the dashboard but not enough to get the starter to try and turn over the engine (sometimes you just hear the starter do a single click when you turn the key with a really flat battery) The rest of the symptoms definitely sound like a almost flat battery that's just barley got the car started. Recommend charging the battery, if it still has issues, probably needs replacing.

Now still acts like it's flat one minute but starts the next
