Some simple tuning will get me to the 16v power so much more cheaply than all the engine bay modifications required to fit the 16v. Besides: If I was going to start re-arranging engine mounts and the like I might as well have gone VTEC or something.

Why not get a J4/JP4 hybrid on bodies?
Can pick them up for about £2k and have about 160-170bhp depending on spec...

#52: Re: MEGAginge's Epic 1.1 beast topic Author: Shodoku, Location: West YorkshirePosted: Wed Jul 14, 2010 5:35 am ---- Are you mapping the existing 1.1 ECU?
#53: Re: MEGAginge's Epic 1.1 beast topic Author: MEGA, Location: Harrow, LondonPosted: Sun Jul 18, 2010 2:11 pm ---- Car is now running with the 1.6 8v engine (H)
new clutch, new manifold, new induction were needed.
the old gearbox and ecu are in place
obviously the map needs adjusting. I'm going to get it to Tony in a week or two to see if he can adjust it up well enough. I have the bosch ECU rather than the siemens s2000 or the manelli so hopefully the ECU can stay
Pretty happy when she started up though!
Pics to follow once it's finished 100%
