Bought this a week ago to replace the 206 after issues with a whining diff!
Seemed to have some rubbish chrome door handle covers on which are now off and also the stupid chavtastic scoop things from infront of the rear wheels have been kicked off!!Also removed the vindis sticker from boot!
So took a couple of pics today after the LCR splitter was put on and also put my alpine headunit in with the kce 350bt unit. The bluetooth unit is ace as i can wirelessly play music from my iphone! Sweet!
Its sitting 25mm lower front and back on eibach springs aswell(it was from the previous owner im told!)
And yes it is dirty! lol
Future plans are to get a fmic and a remap asap!
Also it came with a PD160 air intake from a cupra and is now fitted with a k and n panel filter. Last edited by mattievrs on Mon Aug 08, 2011 11:21 am; edited 17 times in total

i thought you had two 206's a couple of weeks ago?

Im not modding this on the exterior! Im going for a wheel refurb then itll be engine based mods only!
.... until you've exhausted those
And of course you'll be needing a new 206info sticker for this one
Ha ha ive actually got an info sticker here and if i come to fcs then it will be sporting the info sticker for definate!
#32: Re: Project vRS Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 11:32 am ---- So a little update! Got round to putting the ally footrest in and did a bit of interior carbon styling to liven it up a little!
#33: Re: Project vRS Update pg3 Author: Austin, Location: TelfordPosted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 3:21 pm ---- That carbon looks sh*t hot mate, how much was it? where from? and is it easy to do around curve's like the centre console on a 206?

on pic 9 they look like the bream cloth ones but that could just be the flash of your camera.

its known as di noc mate and i fooked the first attempt up so tried again and it worked well. The secret is applying heat from a hairdryer! Search on youtube to see.
The sheet of it was from here(aint cheap but great stuff as you can see from the pics!)

cloth at the moment but on the look out for some vRS SE fabia leathers at the moment in white and black. Some were on ebay but went for Ā£1K !!!!! I can get them cheaper than that if i have some patience! lol
#39: Re: Project vRS Update pg3 Author: Matt, Posted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 3:53 pm ---- yea it would be a good interior improvement if you could get a set. does it include changing doorcards as with the pugs, or jsut straight seat swap?
#40: Re: Project vRS Update pg3 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 4:10 pm ---- just a seat swap mate as all the doorcards are the same!
#41: Re: Project vRS Update pg3 Author: Matt, Posted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 4:21 pm ---- ahh thats a bonus then. ill keep my eye out for any local to me.
#42: Re: Project vRS Update pg3 Author: skard, Location: UK - NorthPosted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 4:23 pm ---- ebay.de is brilliant for VAG stuff, mattie.
fronts do i think but rears are too wide so would need to have the covers swapped but would end up looking baggy.
#46: Re: Project vRS Update pg3 Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Mon Apr 26, 2010 4:30 pm ---- Wouldn't it be cheaper to get your current seats re-trimmed and you could get them in the colour you want.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to get your current seats re-trimmed and you could get them in the colour you want.
Or are the others more sporty?
yeah it probably would be but it turns out the seats were bought by a nigerian wanting to pay by cheque! (seriously) so im hoping they might be a better price than Ā£1K!!!!!
The oem ones also have a rather sexy vRS badge embroidered into them!
edit.... just like these from another vRS
#48: Re: Project vRS Update pg3 Author: jimmyfloydreturns, Location: SittingbournePosted: Tue Apr 27, 2010 12:33 am ---- Join Briskoda.net - its a great forum, plenty of info but not as lively as this one (i.e. boring!)

#51: Re: Project vRS Update pg3 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Tue Apr 27, 2010 3:02 pm ---- yeah it takes a bit of practice but you give it enough heat it goes round any curve easily!
#52: Re: Project vRS Update pg3 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Wed Apr 28, 2010 2:13 pm ---- Another little update!
Ive decided to get cruise control!Got it at a good price and comes with the wiring loom all ready to retro fit. Im going to fit it myself but it needs switching on using vagcom, which will all be done over the weekend hopefully.
And also got hold of a diesel tuning box at a VERY good price
Currently the vRS is 130hp and 310 Nm of torque to 163bhp and 388 Nm of torque.Although these figures are estimated ive no miss givings that it will make a difference and the pd lumps seem to respond well to tuning and mapping etc!

#54: Re: Project vRS Update pg4 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Wed Apr 28, 2010 3:33 pm ---- Ha ha, it was to show size and also to hold the paper down as the backdoor was open!
#55: Re: Project vRS Update pg4 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Wed Apr 28, 2010 3:38 pm ---- Also have a few other bits too, got some black plasti dip to spray the front chrome grill to black as i think it will look better. Some vRS wheel badges but wont be going on till around july time when the wheels are refurbed.
Also have coming, a vagcom cable and vagcom software to "talk" to the car and change a few settings in the ecu and some green vRS valve caps! Pics up when i get chance!
#56: Re: Project vRS Update pg4 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Wed May 05, 2010 4:34 am ---- tuning box arrived today! Pics later when fitted and ive had a drive!
#57: Re: Project vRS Update pg4 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Sat May 08, 2010 5:16 pm ---- Well! A quick update really.Im annoyed in one sense that the tuning box has been fitted and removed after a day as with it in, the bloody clutch slips on boost. However, after a chat with a good mate who works for a VW tuning company he reckons my vRS is remapped already as the box shouldnt give the standard clutch any problems. The clutch and DMF were replaced 3000 miles ago according to the service book.
So im selling it on and getting the car rolling roaded asap to see what its putting out!
Next update will include retro fitting the cruise when i get hold of vagcom!
#58: Re: Project vRS Update pg4 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Mon May 31, 2010 10:59 am ---- Been a while so its update time!
Fitted the cruise control and enabled it in vagcom so its all working now with great results!!(68mpg!)
Repainted the calipers as they were flaking and looked a bit grubby and added some vrs decals(which you cant really see!) Pics of decals up later!
Also decided the chrome grill surround looked a bit "grandad" so sprayed it black with plastidip.
Next up is retrofitting reverse sensors that are on their way as you read.Update soon!

Theyre green as standard and took me ages to find the right shade hammerite from ebay to get them right!
Will be a good day out as always! I seriously have no motivation to clean it! I will before FCS though!

Thanks mate, ive been thinking about doing it for a couple of weeks but couldnt decide at the time.Got up yesterday and thought, what the hell!
#64: Re: Project vRS Update pg4 Author: Austin, Location: TelfordPosted: Mon May 31, 2010 2:31 pm ---- Yeah, alot of BMW owners do it to the kidney grills and it makes a huge difference, love it!

genuine VAG. Got them off ebay but just the loom and sensors as in the vrs models they put the control box in but not the looms and sensors!
So its just plug and play which is great!
#66: Re: Project vRS Update pg4 Author: GazRG, Location: Bournemouth/CardiffPosted: Mon May 31, 2010 2:51 pm ---- Looks really smart actually Mattie, big fan
Shame I won't be at FCS, would have been good to say hello again and see the new steed.

#69: Re: Project vRS Update pg5 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Sun Jul 18, 2010 10:17 am ---- A long overdue update then.........................
Put some LED's into the sidelights,my old nightbreakers into the headlight beams and some LED's into the interior lights(pics when its dark!)
Bought some oil and an oil filter to do an oil change tomorrow hopefully!
Installed a centre console armrest from a mk4 golf
Looks a bit darker black but its a spot on match in real life.
And noticed the silver paint was flaking from the foglight surrounds so decided to spray them black to give it a bit more of a vented/audi look!

#72: Re: Project vRS Update pg5 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Sun Jul 18, 2010 11:12 am ---- itll get done soon but its took me 3 weeks to do the armrest and the surrounds as ive got a broken wrist! So cleaning it will have to wait a while! lol

#77: Re: Project vRS Update pg6 Author: Antix, Location: WorcesterPosted: Mon Jul 19, 2010 11:28 am ---- LOL - random!
Has it got a vRS logo on it?
sadly not! lol its got a white circle with a green medical cross on it which will be ripped off!
#79: Re: Project vRS Update pg6 Author: mattievrs, Location: LeicesterPosted: Tue Jul 27, 2010 9:58 am ---- Another small update x2!
Got hold of a mk5 golf auto dimming rear view mirror so thatll be put in tomorrow morning (fitted pics then!)
And at the moment the boot opens via the remote fob but only pops open about an inch off the latch so ive got some springs that'll fit the gas struts when the boot is closed and have enough sprung weight in them to push the boot open enough to allow the struts take over and full open it automatically
Again pics and video when done tomorrow!
#80: Re: Project vRS Update pg6 Author: Ruffy_206, Location: BristolPosted: Tue Jul 27, 2010 11:03 am ---- im liking them springs looks like coilovers springs lol.

Like you lose control of taking it up carefully or whatever if your up against a wall/another car etc.
That's the only thing anyway, I really like the car, have been tempted to at least try diesel power at some point

i did think about this but i rarely reverse into a space and id be concious about where and when id open the boot anyway.I also usually only open the boot when im by it anyway so i reckon itll be ok.Thanks for pointing it out though.
#84: Re: Project vRS Update pg6 Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Tue Jul 27, 2010 2:47 pm ---- Won't they also make it harder to shut?
hopefully not but we will see.The boot is fairly weighty so i cant see them making a massive difference to be honest though.
And the springs are only mediums so they wont give massive resistance.

First up i used the Fly eyes kit i got from a group buy on here and fly eyed the headlights
Before
After
Also did the fogs too
The rear lights also got fly eyed!
Before
After, just did the clear part of the lens
Also installed the LED drl's.They are much brighter in real life but my phone wouldnt pick up the brightness!
Thanks for looking, and ill post some dusk and night shots of the drl's later on.
#101: Re: Project vRS Update pg7 Author: Antix, Location: WorcesterPosted: Wed Oct 06, 2010 11:12 am ---- I'm liking the smoked-light effect of the flyeyes

thought the sticker was a bit ironic due to the skoda badge! Its coming off in favour of a briskoda badge when it arrives anyway!
lke this but without the black background
#104: Re: Project vRS Update pg7 Author: GazRG, Location: Bournemouth/CardiffPosted: Wed Oct 06, 2010 3:50 pm ---- Like it all mate, especially the rear lights with the FlyEye kit, save for the DRL's. Sorry, but they really aren't my thing - I feel it cheapens the car, especially as the LED's look uneven in your last couple of photos - in position and brightness.
Apart from that, love it.

Fair enough gaz! I was a bit unsure aswell but thought id try them out (drl's) and i really like them now. Each to their own etc!

I was a bit worried about the fly eyes and effecting the light output but ive got to say that although there is a small kind of striped effect to the headlights they do the job well. They dont effect the output at all.
Took delivery of my free briskoda sticker today and also 4x H1 smd led bulbs for the full beams and fogs.Still waiting on the smd led H7 headlight bulbs though.
Also have 2 sharan/galaxy interior lights that im going to fit under the rear grab handles
Should end up looking something like these!
