#1: It's been a while Author: Sabre, Location: Leicester, UKPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:11 am ---- Hi, I've not posted on here in years, no surprised my account didn't exist anymore! Anyways I'm about to sell my GTi and it got me thinking about my other 206 which is stuck at my mums at the moment so I don't see it much.
Anyways pics are below, it's always created mixed reactions but keep it honest

#3: Re: It's been a while Author: vixxxen, Location: BelfastPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:17 am ---- i love the fact that you have put so much time and money nd effort into , i love the paint job , but i dont like the wheels , everything else about it i like tho !
#4: Re: It's been a while Author: Sabre, Location: Leicester, UKPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:19 am ---- lol that's usually how the responses go, that said though people always take photo's of it in the street. Incidentally the headlights are from a Yamaha R6 bike, wouldn't recommend that again though, it's a pain to get through an MOT and required some 'customisation'
#5: Re: It's been a while Author: Danw_VVT, Location: Herts/LondonPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:24 am ---- so did i read that your selling it?
#6: Re: It's been a while Author: Sabre, Location: Leicester, UKPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:27 am ---- Not this one, it's practically worthless now! The car that I'm selling is my GTi 180 which is completely standard.
#7: Re: It's been a while Author: vixxxen, Location: BelfastPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:29 am ---- why do you say that ones worthless ?
No1 really likes my wheels either lol so we are even , what inspired you for the paint job ?
#8: Re: It's been a while Author: Sabre, Location: Leicester, UKPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:33 am ---- well under all that it's a 2001 1.6GLX, runs well but it's now only any good as a show car. The wheels are 18's which means the rear arches thump them regularly and that doesn't do the tyres any good! Besides having it this personalised it become more sentimental than about the money.
The paint job was done for me by a Polish guy called Walt and takes some inspiration from the works of an artist call Geiger, we just played with a few ideas though and that looked the best!
#9: Re: It's been a while Author: RicH, Location: South East UKPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:38 am ---- Its one of a kind so i like it
#10: Re: It's been a while Author: GazRG, Location: Bournemouth/CardiffPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 8:26 am ---- Not a fan of the paint job to be honest but having said that it looks like a top spec showcar, I love the front lights which look amazing and you can easily see how much work and effort has been put in, top job.
#11: Re: It's been a while Author: DJ-, Location: UKPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 8:47 am ---- Quite cool imo!
#12: Re: It's been a while Author: Jono, Location: Dorchester, DorsetPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 9:50 am ---- As you said, not everyone will like it, but I do. The interior looks pretty sweet, any more photos of inside?
Wheels look almost Lambo or Focus ST
#13: Re: It's been a while Author: clibbon1968, Location: EssexPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 9:53 am ---- in a weired and wacky way i actually like this
#14: Re: It's been a while Author: Lowercase, Location: East SussexPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 9:57 am ---- not my thing personaly, but damn if i cant appreasiate the hard work and money that went into it, nice one.

#16: Re: It's been a while Author: the_bowman, Location: Leicestershire (Ashby de la Zouch)Posted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 10:52 am ---- Wow... that is truly one of a kind!
I'm not normally a fan of custom paint jobs... but that is amazing! So much work gone into that too... you're right to be sentimental about it!

wow that was a while ago! Must have been the Devon car show in 2007 ish? I'm impressed it made such an impression that you remembered where you saw it lol.
I'll try find some pics of the interior, it's black and light grey leather imitation stuff the name of which escapes me, over corbeau carrerra seats (dead comfy). Got the whole lot done, five seats, four door cards, glove box, gear gaitor and steering wheel for about £700. Definately money well spent, nothing too flashy but really gives the car a classy feel.

#20: Re: It's been a while Author: Lecktorious, Location: ScotlandPosted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 3:25 pm ---- Not my style, but I like the fact it's absolutely mental.
Top job.
