Hello
My first post on the forum Surprised

I know a lot of us go on about rattly Pugs with niggly problems you either like or hate them, I used to love my 205GTI

I have just got a 206 HDI 2.0L T Diesel X Reg and have a couple of niggles

The rev counter sometimes sticks then behaves itself works ok then spits the dummy out again, apart from a clock cluster replacement does anyone know of a fix?

My rear wheel bearings are starting to make a noise, can these be greased like the older type of bearing or do they need replacing, if so would ebay number 380252803275 for HDI ESTATE 9/02> fit & last for a while without problems

central locking works both doors but have to open the passenger door from inside

With this being my first Diesel what type & how much engine oil is recommended

Hi and welcome its 4.5 litres of oil and 10w40


	New car 2011 / Thoruim grey , 207 1.4 Vti 16v Sport 95bhp , tinted rear windows. Old car 2000/ 206 2.0 hdi.

Will have to replace wheel bearings, rev counter could be a sensor fault, and you would need to strip door down to find fault with lock!

Thanks for the replys would the bearings I mentioned in the first post be ok to fit? or have they got to be for a 3 door 206 Thanks Smokes

If it's bothering you, get a new cluster, it must have a lower mileage than your existing one and it also must come from a non-plexed car

Yeah they some times dry up, and they can be re-greased, i've just done mine

Couid be the solenoid failing, but first take the interior pannel off and make sure all the wires and rod are connected. Also try testing the wires with a multimeter to ensure voltage is going to the lock

With this being my first Diesel what type & how much engine oil is recommended
4.5 litres if you are changing the filter as well. there's 1.4 litres between the min and max mark. Use Total Quartz 7000 10w40
