right took the 206 into peugeot today and they advised me to replace my coolant temp sensor which wernt to bad but did advise me that there were quite a few aftermarket parts on it some id done myself but also he said the ecu was aftermarket as well? and advised me to get a mobile technician out to do another diagnostics aftermarket ecu?help guys n gurls thanks

What's the problem with it having an after market ECU is the car running fine etc?

EDIT: Looking back over previous threads there appears to be miss fireing starting and pick up issues with the car.

yer car runs fine i suppose just gotta replace coolant temp sensor now and most probaly clean the throttle body housing to as well

Aftermarket ECU??? I doubt it.

'aftermarket ecu'..........Maybe the car has had a 're-map' and that's what they are refering to?
1.4 hdi, 206, Year..2003, 100,000 miles

Mercedes, ML270CDI, 2002, 200,000 miles
