I have a 1.4 1999 206. It has done 70 000 miles. I recently had it serviced as the cars revs were fluctuating when slowing down that it caused it to cut out. Prior to having it serviced i had a new clutch. The cutting out has almost stopped and now the car is really juddering when stationary and even when driving but is not as bad when i use lower gears. Also it is using LOTS of petrol and does not have much power.

I took it to a garage and had the coil changed - did not make a difference so they didnt bother changing them. The dodgy guy at the garage said its the valves.... and will cost hundreds to fix. But im not sure this is right.Can anybody help???

Is the EML on?

You tried cleaning the Idle Control valve [also called the stepper motor]

Are Bosch spark plugs fitted?

Did the juddering start before or after the clutch change. Or was it since the service?

As in the PM

Quote::

Hi,
The EML is the engine management light, the little orange light in the top right of your dials.
