Recently bought a 2000 1.9d 206 and the remote central locking doesnt work. When i open the door manually with the ket the passenger door and boot opens as normal. The light on the key lights up and ive replaced the battery and done the reset but it still doesnt work.

Any ideas what could be wrong ?

P.S. I did a search but couldnt find anything on this

You need to sync the fob to the car. Search how to do this (sorry I only know multiplexed 2002 onwards).

I did the reset sync thing. I assume its the right car if the key manually opens the door lol

What happens if you unlock / lock the car from the passenger door?

Does the central locking work?

Does the drivers door lock & unlock correctly?

If i lock/unlock from the passender side door it operates the same as opening the driver door, all locks open and lock together properly. I assume there is a problem with the receiver? Where is it located?
