Just wondering what you all think about me getting my rub strips cc'd, do you think my insurance company would void my insurance, as it is modifying the car? same idea with mirrors aswell. Thinking of getting it done professionally if possible for better finish.
Its so frustrating when im limited to what i can change.
Thanks,
Ryan

Have the insurance company seen the car? If not just do it I very much doubt they will bother checking up on that as some spec 206's came CC anyway. If they do point it out you could always say it was done before you brought the car and you didn't know it was a modification.

The only problem is the guy who fitted the tracker, took some pictures with his phone, so my mum thinks. So thats the only reason im a bit hesitant about things.
Might ring up anonymously (not sure how its spelt) and ask if they take pictures of cars when trackers are fitted.

The questions you have to ask yourself are
Will painting the bumpstrips enhance performance?
Will painting the bumpstrips increase the value of the car?
Will painting the bumpstrips increase the chances of your car being stolen?
Will painting the bumpstrips make you more likely to be involved in a collision?
Chances are you answered no to everything, as will the insurance. As Arran says, just ring them up and ask. Remember thought that your current insurer may not see them as a problem, but if you change companies next year and declare a modification, your premium might be affected.
