Hello,

Thank you in advance for you help.

I have a peugeot 206 Xline 2004, i am trying to plug an electrical after market addon to the car, and i want it to start up with the courtesy light, when i open the door i want the new added light to start up as well.

i cannot find the wire responsible for triggering the courtesy light.

Regards.

I think the switches are built into the door catch.

You can connect straight into the interior light.

Hello,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

i will attach a picture of my car with the addon.

I currently wired it to the speaker at the top left behind the mirror, but i want to wire it to the courtesy light, the link you have showed me seems a bit of a hassle is there an easier way to connect the wires of the addon directly within the door itself?

As far as I know the central locking unit sends the signal to the BSI which in turn runs to the interior light.
You could try and locate the wire in the BSI unit to connect to, but I wouldn't try and connect to the wiring within the door in case it affects the operation of the locking motor.

Im sure Ste has done something similar. He probably wired it to the interior light. Its not too hard, just pop off the trim beside the windscreen and run the wires up there.
