Hi!
I'm new here - I have some problems with my 206 ever since installing a new stereo (shorted a few things) and would appreciate any help.
Am I correct in saying turning the light stalk one turn actives the low (dipped) beam light, then the second the hi beam? I ask this because I have changed all bulbs in my car and have checked/replaced every (yes every!) fuse in the car, and only my sidelights turn on on the first turn. Second turn seems to activate the hi beam.
Any advice?

First turn is side lights second turn is main beam then pull stalk back and it's full beam, consult your handbook for reference installing a hu shouldn't affect lights, I've never had any probs

Cheers for the reply, looks like I have no problems with the lights then! Am I correct in saying there are no front facing fog lights on the 206 (1.1L lx)? i.e. no way to keep full beam on permanently? And "main beam" is the same as dipped, and is safe to drive with in normal night conditions, correct?
Appreciate the help as you've already saved me a lot of headache!

Front facing fog lights will be located in the front bumper you can just look see if there any, main beam is dipped yes and is safe to drive its only full beam as blinds other drivers. Full beam if you pull the stalk back for like a second then release full beam will stay on do this again to return to main (dipped)
Can I ask? How did you get a license of you don't know lights lol

Cheers,
Haha well the problem I had was remembering how bright my lights were before I screwed them up with the stereo. After installing it, blowing the fuses then refitting the lights, I guess they were slightly brighter than before and was worried they were too bright for some reason. Quite stupid haha.

Dipped beam are your driving lights, main beam is the same as full beam and has the blue tell tale on the dash. Main beam will only stay on if your dipped beam is on, otherwise it goes off when you release the stalk, as if you were flashing someone.

People give them different names I call them main beams as their the main ones you use and full beams for full beams, and quite right unless main "dipped" beams are on you will just flash
