I have a slight oil leak on my GTi, and after looking underneath, I can see a black pipe what runs under the exhaust manifold, to somewhere near the cambelt cover end. There is oil all over this, so I am looking for any info/pics as to what this is.
Ill upload some pics now, there isn't much room to investigate properly.

That's a coolant pipe from water pump to thermostat housing. Oil on that is likely to be from the back of the rocker cover.
Could also be from a seal behind the cambelt cover. More likely to be the rocker cover though.

Rocker cover below and the back of the engine feel clean of oil. When its dry ill take the rocker covers off and check for a leak. Must be running from the top for that pipe to be wet with oil.
Im going to change my timing belt in the summer, so I might remove my engine completely. Im sure my manifold is blowing, so might be easier to remove the whole engine and do it on an engine stand.
