I recently fitted H7 dual bulb headlamps as an upgrade from the H4 Single bulb. I plugged them into the H7 connectors that were thankfully fitted on my 52 plate before the face lift.

However when I put full beam on the dipped beam doesn't stay on, and visibility is poor. I was wondering if there is a fuse or relay that needs putting in or any wires need snipping and connecting to allow for both to come on at full beam?

in Peugeot planet you need to change the bulb type to twin (or something along those lines)

Had to do it on my 2002 HDi when fitting crystals.

Stalks on multiplex are all the same, just a digital switch that sends a signal to the BSI unit.

BSI unit controls the headlight output.

It just needs BSI configuration set up changing from SINGLE OPTIC to DOUBLE OPTIC with Peugeot Planet / Diagbox.

Lovely thanks for the reply, do you think that this could be done on one of those cheap ebay kits? or should I look for someone local that can do it for me?

But if he's got a preplex car changing the stalk will work. Did on my old car.

Jamerz has a phase 1 multiplexed car so it needs the BSI config tweak to get the lights working correctly.

That option isn't available on all cars. Don't know if it's just missing for pre-plex or not. It's wasn't available for me anyway.

Pre plex wont have the option as the electrical system is different - pre plex you change the stalk.

I think a lot of people are getting confused between pre plex & multiplexed / phase 1 & phase 2.

Makes sense. I know there was a relay option touted a long time ago for pre-plex (I looked into it, but never got round to doing it), but I didn't know that pre-plex / multiplex stalks were inter-changable.

There not interchangeable.

Remember phase 1 cars came in both non plexed & multiplexed versions.

Phase 2 where all multiplexed.

Thank you for telling me this, just trying to figure out how to tweak it, do you think a dealership would do it cheap? Or should I buy a Chinese PP2000 kit?

There might be someone local to you who'd do it for you.

Where are you located?
