So my 02 plate 206 tonight cut out and won’t restart. Sounds like it’s turning over but not a normal sound lost power prior to cutting out and shows something regarding p1250 on dashboard? Has been stood for couple weeks prior and has had battery removed to recharge any help much appreciated

Seems to be a fairly generic code but it may be something to do with fuel pressure (PRC Solenoid) .. which would probably cause the engine to cut-out. You will need to get it on a proper diagnostic to track down the exact issue.

Timing belt ok / not broken / lost teeth?

Should have had at least 3 replacement timing belts since it was built.

No history with it unfortuneately but after some further investigation i think you may be correct, crankshaft isnt turning and couple of people i have spoke with seem to suspect it may have worn teeth and slipped its still on so not snapped gonna investigate further this weekend. Can you advise what engine code it would be its an 2002 1.1 look model.
