The beam pattern for fog lights is designed to cut through the fog and increase the visibility for the driver. They are not driving lights and offer very little usable light on unlit roads where main beam is needed. Wire them up to dipped beam and risk a FP for driving with auxiliary lights illuminated when visibility isn't reduced. Just get a switch, relay and fuse and wire them in that way. It's an easy enough job if you know what you're doing.[/quote]
