They are normally bonded on, it will be best to buy a new tailgate without a spoiler it will be cheaper than getting yours reaprayed after the paint is ripped off Dan
thanks - the ones I've seen on ebay [that are new] always have a fitting kit which includes screws, bolts etc and a rubber gasket that sits between the spolier 'feet' and tailgate sides. Mine has the rubber gasket between the two panels. Also with new ones it includes a template to attach to the tailgate so that you can accurately drill the holes for the bolts/screws location, that wouldn't happen if they where glued on. IF there are bolts they don't come right through to the other side; i.e. they only go through the outer tailgate skin and disappear into the space between the outer and inner sheet metal that the tailgate is comprised of, they don't come through the other side [the inside]. I'm thinking, maybe the screws/bolts hold on some sort of foot that 'the spoiler feet' slide into [and lock]? Any idea's please [anyone]? many thanks!
