| his it possible to change the bushes with normal tools or do you need a press to get them in |
peugeot dealer got special tools to pull out and press in the bush.
however; it is possible to cut the bush and chisel it out; and then hammer in the new bush.
but i am surprise if that bush will have any wear at all. |

| Why not buy a 2nd axle and re-build it then swap it over? Then you could rebuild your old one and sell it or scrap it?? |

just done a search on youtube seams to be a few guides so might use them as a guide, is it worthwhile changing all bearings etc
i will be changing the mount bushes as they are shot, any special tool needed, also is it easier to remove the tbs while the axel is off the car |
i am struggle to remove the bush...
bearing is easy, definitely worth to do it if you want to keep the car for at least few more year |

My bearings are fine, there's no play in the arm yet it has dented the bearing surface on the stub axle...so if you think its a case of just sticking new bearings on a worn axle then be prepared for a surprise. In other words if you have an evidently worn axle with play in the bearings it will be worse than mine.

| I'd look at repairing your existing axle even if the bearings and stub pins are knackered. |

if your confident with your mechanical skills and have patience it isnt too bad a job but if your in any doubt id get a 2nd hand axle.
just find a lot of good axles are being thrown away because people cant be a**e to change the bearings it doesnt always ruin the stub. i rebuilt mine over the winter was only on 65k but i thought id do it as a matter of course while i was adjusting the rear height so i know the axle will stay good |
