The rear works when switched on but the front dont as the wires coming out of them are not connected to anything. Is it hard to connect/ wire them up?

I'd like to blame predictive text, which I'm beginning to find really annoying because people don't check before pressing enter, but in this case I think it's just poor grasp of English, but again not checked before enter being pressed. Takes two seconds to read over what has been typed to check it makes sense but that is beyond some people.
