Okay I've changed it now.

These sensors are a b***h to change when seized.

Procedure if rear sensor is seized:

Remove calliper, disc and heat shroud, lob the top plastic head of the sensor off with a screwdriver and hammer. Smack the sensor out through the other side of the bore hole, taking care not to damage the ABS ring. Use needle nose pliers to pull it out through the hub. May need to break off the tip of the sensor to allow it to fit through the gap on the hub side.

Or... heat up the surrounding area and avoid all of this effort lol.

Cleaned up the ABS ring because it was full of grime. Put the new sensor in and NO MORE ABS FAULT Very Happy

Yeah, I've got a rear ABS sensor fault, had it diagnosed.

Yes it was the blue connector, I followed the wire back and took the screw out but the unit seems to be lodged in there tight. Can't seem to pry it out.

I was trying to find the removal procedure on my service box, doesn't mention the ABS sensors though. Just unplug the wiring under the wiring under where the rear axle connects to the car, blue connector off the top of my head. Trace the wiring back to the sensor behind the disc, its only screwed in. Removing the disc might be easier.

Have you got a problem with yours?

Do you need to remove the rear disc to get access to it? Seems a bit of a struggle otherwise.

Hi

I'm looking for a guide on removing and changing the rear ABS sensor. It seems much harder to access than the front sensors.

Thanks
