yes the rear spoiler was an option, and it should have wing extensions on the front only - really slim nice ones compared to the SP pack extensions seen usually...

Depends on how you like to keep your car. Personally I wouldn't dream of spraying that panel with anything other than the right stuff... dust free room, compressor, gun etc! And experience!

Good luck with it. Does sound like a dying water pump though - esp as you say you can locate the leak to the drivers side of the engine bay. But hopefully it's just a simple hose Confused .

Ah that's good news. Does it seem to leak when the engine has cooled down? As it sounds like it's your water pump - it can hold water when driving in some cases so you don't get overheating as the sea ...

If there's a big release of pressure... head gasket likely. Check for gunk in the coolant tank and mayo-like slime on the oil cap/dip stick.

I haven't noticed one no - but I had crystalised coolant which had escaped through the expansion cap when my car must have been running nice and hot (not over heating!!). This too was after the garage ...

Doesn't a coolant cap have a pressure release valve ? - so that if there is too much of a pressure build up it can release as an overflow and would cause this? I'm sure I came across that somewhere, c ...
