Thanks for all the really helpful advice ...I think I'll try the earth first.

Just to clarify "the points", is this where the earth wire is fixed to the bodywork of the car with a spade type connec ...

Spoke to Garage today as my MOT is due up and he thought it sounded like a stalk fault (although he hadn't heard of the power dipping before) said it would be around £200.00! Is this any easy job to ...
