Great! Would explain why my indicator and headlights play up aswell. What comm unit am I looking for? Is there different types? Car is 2004 1.4 fever, multi-plexed. |

I've had the same problem, mine leaks from where the power steering pipes connect onto the rack. You can remove the clip and pull out the hoses (awkward job!) then replace the 'O' rings on the end, th ... |

cheers macca... Have checked the level and it was completely bone dry! so that would explain the whine and confirm i definitely have a leak somewhere!

ok thanks guys, any idea where i check the level of power steering fluid? I know where the cap is but can't see a way of checking the level. :S |

Oil and water levels are fine, checked them a week ago. It's deffo not oil, doesn't smell like oil, It's like a dark red colour. If the rack is leaking, can I change seals or is it a new steering rack ... |

it could have possibly been a dark red then, cloth was covered in loads of crap tbh. Could my steering rack be leaking? |
