hey bezford, thanks for taking the time. I put a bottle of injector cleaner through a few days ago and it really has not made a difference, so I can safely stop thinking about that.

Ok so got myself a new crank sensor, and removed the old one that was absolutely caked in gunk.
Wit high hopes I started it cold this morning but to no avail- still a hesitant start and the revs only ... |

That seems to be the exact symptoms, and I beleive this sensor is under the battery tray, near the bell housing on the top.

So hang on, if indeed I have a seperate IAT to the MAP sensor, how do you clean your MAP? Would a dodgy IAT exhibit the same symptoms as a dodgy MAP? Slightly rough idle, rougher idle when cold, long ... |

OK, thanks for the feedback. My cold start bet is on a dodgy pressure regulator (in the pump I believe) or a leaking injector. Long crank, like it's missing fuel to fire- not my first pug and wont be ... |

I'm positive there was nothing there- there was nothing in the casing. I put the sensor back in and checked there was nothing in the intake before I started it- it was a long crank but still started a ... |
