Thanks for the imput guys and hope it is of value to others....or me in the future if needed. As I said ran out of time as I was going away and he needed it for work. Reckon the damage wasn't too bad ...

Thanks kandlbarret. All getting very complex. Have an old mk3 Golf Convertible as my toy to play with. Basic engine functions same (timing belt easy on an 8 valve). But even it has injectors that do I ...

Oldskoolz - No I am not that thick yes it did suggest an injector fault but how to identify which was the issue.....

As the title says -

Engine management light on
ABS light on

Code reader shows two faults read>

1 - injector circuit open
2 - multiple engine missfire

Physical issue......lumpy/missfire r ...
